Went to MoT last friday for the car's second routine maintenance, the car's odo has 11k km right now. Went for an oil change, and apparently was time for a tire rotation as well.
Fast forward to today, first time taking the highway since the oil change+tire rotation, and the car and steering wheel started shaking when i hit 90km and gradually had more shaking as i approched about 110-115km.
Pulled over and gave MoT a call to tell them what's going on with the car and the earliest they could take the car in is monday. I'm scared as S*** right now because i already made plans long time ago to drive up to the cottage this weekend, and the car feels like it's gonna break down while on highway speed. I've read it could be from the tire rotation that was done? Is it the most likely cause?
Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks

The only reason I can see a tire rotation being the problem, is if the rear tires already had uneven tread wear. That would require an 4-wheel alignment (but there could also be another issue entirely though)

It sounds alot like an out of balance tire. Its possible one of the tires which was on the rear was out of balance, but not so noticeable. Now on the front its very noticeable. I would take it back to MoT and demand they check it out as you feel it is a safety issue; (You should be priority). If they don't accommodate you go somewhere else . Anyone can check for tire balance.

But balancing is not part of a tire rotation. (Or is it?)
If not - technically - the rotation didn't cause the issue.

Thanks for the response fellas, planning to head to MoT tomorrow and discuss the issue with them in person. Hopefully all goes well.

Your right balancing is not part of a rotation. Its not MoT's fault if a tire is out of balance, but they should make the OP a priority since they last worked on the car and very recently. It could also be something else, so they should side with caution and check it out for the customers safety.

99% chance this is a wheel balance issue. Any tire shop can rebalance it for you. No need to wait.
Sure it is balance thats gone wrong.
Probably lost one of the weight in the rear and it get much more sensible in the wheel on tire rotation.
An anomaly in alignement woud have worn one side of the tire more than the other, or your car would tend to turn on one side, etc.
If all four tires are ok, no flat, no unven wear,go for balacing only, it should solve the issue
