Engine Noise (video inside!)

Hi guys,

Apparently this seems to be a common problem, however, I haven't been able to find any links with a clear explanation of exactly which part needs to be replaced (please, no acronyms), a link to where I can purchase said part, and a guide to change the part.

Anyway - here's my issue:

I've pointed to the different connectors hoping someone can say, "change that one..." or something similar - or maybe I'm pointing in the wrong spot, I don't know.

I don't have any check engine lights - my oil is changed regularly, and there are no other issues with the car, aside from this horrendous noise and now bad gas mileage. Also, when I start my car from a cold start, the horrible noise doesn't start for about 7seconds.

A lot of the reading I've done has brought me to links regarding something to do with some solenoid in the intake manifold - again, I'm not sure because no one's done a good job of clearly explaining this. Other people say engine mounts. Clarity is appreciated. Also, all of the other information has to do with the 2.3L engine, not the 2.5L.

Let me know how we can fix this asap!

Yup - Kind of sounds like the intake manifold runner noise.

It looks like you don't even know what you're pointing at. Sorry to be this blunt, but bring it to a mechanic.

A/C compressor that needed to be changed - got it done for $400 taxes in.
