hey dude.. not to sound like Fashist. but can you use the search feature for once? a few of your last posts could be easily searched for.. (like my walmart answer 0w20)

maybe you don\'t know how to search.. lemme know.. i\'ll show u..

EDIT: to answer your q... it\'s a tossup.. those who have torque wrneches they DIY.. and for the lazy ones or ones w/o tq wrenches avante will do it for 25bux.. (u can search for this as well)

Both Walmart and CdnTire are +/-$20+tax. I think I\'ll just invest in a torque driver and a 1.5 ton jack.. probably about $100 total, and you can then also do your tire rotations yourself every 8-10000km.. should pay for itself in about 2 yrs assuming I don\'t get too lazy :p

Or you can go cheap and get a $25 bendy driver as has been mentioned.

You need your car on jack stands to do tire rotation. Unless you take off one front wheel, put on a spare/winter tire, lower the car, and go to the back and switch tire.... Sounds like a pain in the arse to do.

Picked up the KW17s on silver steelies at the meet from Ed. Hauling them out of the car.. damn they\'re heavy!

...

They\'re calling for snow/rain for tomorrow and the rest of the week, so I finally got off my arse and went to get the tools.

Walmart:
2ton hydraulic jack: $20+tax

Canadian Tire:
Bendy 1/2\" torque wrench: $25 or $26 + tax

Finding the damn 21mm socket somewhere in the house/garage: priceless (aka free, assuming I can find it).

Word to the wise: Canadian Tire\'s online stock check is useless. They were all out of clicky torque wrenches (well they had the 3/8ths, but they were in inch-pounds and not rated high enough). I guess I saved myself $75, but I still want to get my hands on a clicky one :p

Tomorrow or Wednesday I\'ll throw on the wheels.

You\'re right about that one. I saw jack stands at Walmart for $17 or $27 a pair. Or if you\'ve got a neighbour/friend that has them, $0 :p

Get the deep socket so you don\'t have to worry about scratch your rims.

BTW, I think the Milton CanTire has the 1/2\" clicky torque wrench...

Hey Melenium did you have much trouble fitting the wheels in your car? I\'m supposed to pick mine up from E-Spec tonight and I have no idea how I\'ll get all 4 in! The trunk on the 3 looks big but it\'s tough to get things into it. I figure I can throw two in the trunk max and two in the back seat.

Hope to get them installed by Mazda when I get my 16K service later this week (instead of the regular tire rotation).

I have the sedan, and had fit two in the trunk, and the other two on the folded rear seats. It may be easier to go though the rear doors for two on the seats. Hope they give you plastic bags, and the rubber would grip on the carpet, making it hard it get in and out. If they don’t give you bags, get the big orange ones.

Hey Illmatic,
as idreamofmazda mentioned, two went in the trunk with no problem, and 2 went on the back seat. No problem getting them into or out of the trunk (aside from the temptation to put your foot on the bumper). The two went on the back seat through the door, and it was a bit of a tight fit, but no worries.

They wrapped them up in bags for me, but take along some clear leaf bags just in case. I always keep a few new bags in the trunk under the liner for such (and other situations).

Cool, thanks! I didn\'t even think of the garbage bag thing...
