Hello All,

I am new to these forums and thought I would share some odd goings on with my car.
First I will start with my ride, its a 2011 Mazda 3 Sports GT, Manual Transmission at around 145,000 km.
It seems that recently when I press down on the gas pedal a little too fast I get a sluggish response. It feels like it vibrates a bit and than the acceleration comes on. Almost as if I was holding down slightly on the clutch when you shift but I'm not really doing that. I haven't kept quite up to date with all the maintenance. Could it be that I need to flush the fuel system? Or do I need to change the transmission oil? I am not a super mechanic but I can understand most things if they are explained correctly.

Any help would be great.

Thank You

Manual trans never really need a fluid change, some will argue it will but it won't be the cause of your problems. Is the clutch slipping? That would cause a vibration.

Sounds like a worn clutch. Time to see a mechanic.

Ok... I thought of that too.. I do tend to rev high and perhaps riding the clutch in traffic over the years... I was thinking about it yesterday though and when I described it, I may have been off a little. It feels more like you shifted way too early and pressed the gas, but it happens a bit at normal rpm's... So yeah I guess I should look into it. Thanks

Could also be a broken motor mount. Does the engine rock forward when you come off the throttle onto engine brake?
