Hello,

Will 15 inch winter tires fit a 2017 mazda 3 GS (comes with stock 16'' all seasons)?

Thanks

From my recollection they will not. A 16" minimum is required to clear the calipers.

You sir, would be correct. Tried to fit 15' rims on a couple already for customers, and they do not clear the front calipers.

205/60R16 Tires are what you're looking for. I have them on my 2016 GT.

The previous winter I ran 15" on my 15 mazda 3 gs w/ steelies it just barely cleared but it was fine. 195/65/15 ws80's :) got them done at simply tires.

they may fit. but you need to have the correct rim / offset. and its hellla close to the caliper.

This could be because your speed has larger calipers as well. The regular 3's it does fit, but it is not the recommended size.

I tried fitting a 15' on a 2015 Mazda 3 last year for a customer and it didn't fit. Do you guys keep a different rim that fits it CarLadyLisa?

I know it doesn't fit on a Speed, just cause it has a bigger rotor, but the ones I tried to install for a customer hit the caliper of the 2015.

I had 15" snows on my 2010 Mazda3 last year. We only order 16" as its the correct sizing for that generation and the current one. I'm not a mechanic. Perhaps some rims are different design and trial and error is involved and I got lucky?

For any year of mazda3 with the 2.0 you can fit 15" wheels (195/65/15). For 2.3 and up, it's 16" wheels (2004+: 205/55/16, 2014+: 205/60/16). Finally offsets are very important when downsizing in order to clear brake calipers. Currently, I have 16" winters over mazdaspeed calipers and 15" winters over a 2015 2.0 caliper. I believe both steelies are around 40 offset.
