MZD Toolbox - iOS App Store

Hey - anyone have any experience with the MZD Toolbox available on the iOS App store for $3.99? Supposedly it will allow me to change the background on the infotainment system - but more importantly would allow me to enable touch screen while in motion and reduce the interval for displaying the disclaimer.

For $4 I'm willing to take the chance that it it works or does nothing. What I'm more concerned about is if it has a probability of bricking the system. That would be substantially less than ok...

it's not made by mazda.... if you're worried about screwing things up, don't bother with it

Hey there - thanks for the reply. I do realize it was not from Mazda which is why I was asking the question. Appreciate you pointing that out though in case I had missed it.

I ended up bypassing the app and going directly to the AIO installer from www.mazdatweaks.com via a USB stick. Installation couldn't have been simpler and I'm very impressed with some of the tweaks available.

As with any after market tweak - your mileage may vary, and there is always a risk.

just remember to remove all of these "tweaks" before you update the Mazda Connect firmware... it's been known to brick it if you didn't do that
there's compatibility issues with the latest version too... doesn't matter to me though, I'm not going to bother with this crap because the latest version is much more stable than the older ones
