My 2006 mazda 3 GT has the P2177 code that doesn't seem to go away. I have noticed rough idling at stop signs as well. My cousin who is a mechanic in training looked at the car and saw no obvious leaks. We replaced the spark plugs, air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor. What other issues do you think it could be?? The O2 sensor and thermostat were replaced in 2015.

Check the canister purge solenoid.
