Hello,
I have an urgent question for you.

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 2.3L MANUAL 110,000km. The bottom end blew.
We just installed a 2008 2.3L from an Automatic Mazda 3 105,000km.

We can not get the new motor to run. it gets fuel but doesn't fire up.
We have the original manual ECU and harness installed.

Do we need to swap something from the old motor? Crank pulley or something....

Thank you so much for your help!

Whatever you do, do not pull the crank pulley. The motor is not keyed and you need timing tools.
I would suggest researching on google as many people have swapped motors over. If i remember it has something to do with the crank sensor itself

the automatic and manual crank pulleys are different, that's why the engine won't start
you'll need to get the necessary special tools to swap it to the right one
