Problem with brakes

Hey just wondering if someone experienced a similar issue with their breaks. I have a 2015 GS and my break pedal started feeling funny and making clunky noises. And after awhile whenever I pressed on the break pedal and about to come to a complete stop, you could hear some sort of cracking noise from the front breaks. Not sure what it was. I booked an appointment with a mechanic to check it out but now because I booked it in, it stopped. Any ideas?

Mazdafan14 is there any scoring on the rotor? does it look like a record disc?

why don't you take it back to the dealer? USE THE WARRANTY!

I did bring it in today. They couldn't find or hear anything. They even took my tires off to look at my breaks. I didn't hear anything since yesterday so we will see. They said to bring it back if I hear it again, they'll come for a drive with me so I can point it out.

try brake cleaner, may be it just got dirty.
