I have a US 2012 Mazda 3 I'll eventually be importing into Canada, and I'm stumped on whether or not you can get OEM halogen DRLs activated. Both my dealership and Mazda USA told me it's not possible, but I find that hard to believe when I have the DRL relay in the engine fuse box. It seems like the 2nd gen 3s don't have a fuse for DRLs so it's not a simple activation. Does anyone have any experience importing a 2nd gen 3 into Canada or getting DRLs to work?

I have the relay but no DRLs. Is it a matter of reprogramming the BCM?

it can't be done... there are significant wiring differences between the US and canadian cars
