ill give an example to see if it helps:
I was slowing down at a light that had just turned green, so there was no need to fully stop. I'm at about 40 km/h and I have the clutch in, revs are at idle. I put the car in third to get going again and give the gas a blip to get the revs to around 1500 rpm, and the noise I hear is best described as the noise you hear if you lug the engine, but louder.
I'm confused by this as I don't believe this is lugging the engine (as far as I'm aware, you can only lug the engine when you put the car into a gearing disadvantage), plus the clutch is still pushed in... Anybody have even a remote idea what this could be? It only happens while the car is moving, if I were to hit the gas in neural at idle while stopped, no noise. Also, if I'm gentle with the gas while rev matching in this scenario I don't hear it, but sometimes you'll give it more gas than necessary... And when that happens I'll hear this noise.
Any thoughts are appreciated
