Pee smell

So everytime I turn my a/c on and set it to fan, theres a funny smell. More like a pee kinda smell. It always happens when I start the car.

Please advise.

A mouse might have made a nest in your cabin air filter ect.

Check it first. It could be dirty or something could have crawled up there.

My parents had a mouse climb into their filter and die before after it made a nest.

Good thing to kill a lot of bacteria and crap in your vents is to open all windows, turn AC on full blast with recirculating air OFF, open the hood and spray half a can of Lysol through the air intake at the base of the windshield. That took the bad smells out of my vents. Make sure to keep it running for a good 10 mins to air out

Spraying Lysol or any anti bacterial product. I worked in flood damage restoration and loved this all natural disinfectant.
I prefer this product. http://benefect.com/CA/products/disinfectant.php ...I use this in the shower and all other damp areas in the house
even spray it on fabrics/carpet (always test first) that have that damp moldy smell ( i have 3 dogs) .... But if your smell is really Urine
this product or any other disinfectant will not eliminate (only mask urine smell) Urine goes through a decomposition process which
gases off ammonia (part of the pee smell) when the urine crystals breakdown ... Urine treatment products help accelerate the
decomp process ..then no more smell. Bleach works ...but ...but bleach will change the feel, look and/or degrade the surface
where pee is located...carpet, fabric , plastic, wood , metal ....
