Hey guys - recently my 13 Sky with 58k started making this droning vibrating engine sound when its using all its torque around 1800-2500 torque and quickly vanishes as soon as the rpms get higher and sounds smooth - its hard to explain and first thought it was engine mounts in which passenger #3 mount and all the ones atop the dealer replaced just now under warranty. Sound is still there and more pre-dominant when using the AC in which the engine has to work harder.
Im thinking it would maybe be the non OEM air filter installed a few months ago before I start chasing the dealer again?

Could be exhaust hangers getting soft and resonating as well as the resonator in the exhaust working itself in. Unless you've put a CAI in, the air filter won't have any impact on noise. If you can stand the noise then I wouldn't worry about it.

No CAI....its more apparent with the AC on and when there is more of a load. Usual in the part of low-end RPM torque being used. Otherwise car runs very well and no warning lights.

I'm having the same problem with my 16 GS sedan with 97,000 Km. What I've noticed also is that when I shift it to neutral and the car is on idle, the RPMs fluctuate for a couple of seconds and then goes back to normal. The car is bone stock so I'm thinking the spark plugs need to be replaced.
