Car: 2015 Mazda 3 GT with Tech Package i.e. electronic goodies including SCBS (Smart City Breaking System)

The system works as it should when I did a few tests using cardboard boxes. However, this system is fidgety at best, it doesn't line heat nor cold, generating numerous warnings stating the system is not available due to heat in the cabin, even in the -10 degrees dead of winter.

Complained to the dealer (Markham Mazda) numerous times to no avail. They said they have contacted Mazda Canada but never heard back. Although I never expected to depend on such safety nanny, making it just a piece of useless tech toy.

To Mazda Canada, please escalate this problem to wherever you need to escalate to, it's label and marketed as a safety component after all. Do you want to see on the news that your "safety" equipment failed to perform and causing accidents!?

Do you have similar problems with your SCBS? Post them here...

MZR3 this is not Mazda Canada's forum. If you are expecting to them to read and respond, don't hold your breath. If you want to escalate, call Mazda customer service.

It's a software bug.. they fixed it in newer versions of the "Mazda Connect" software.. I had this problem too when I first got the car, but it's long been fixed ever since I updated the software

latest version is now 70.00.100A

get your dealer to update it if your car is under warranty, or figure out how to do it yourself!
and Markham Mazda is one of the worst places to go to in the GTA... that's why you're not getting help!
