2008 mazda 3 motor swap to a 2005 mazda 3 car 2.3 liter

Hello!

I recently completed a motor swap from a 2008 mazda 3 to my 2005 mazda 3. I checked all 3 timing components, fuses and and wiring. The car cranks but will not start. Please advise if the donor motor is compatible to my car. I swapped all components from the old motor including the old timing cover, harmonic balancer and crankshaft position sensor. It seems to be getting fuel but I'm not getting spark.

Please advise.

You’re missing spark? Then I’d double check the crank shaft position sensor. That should be telling the coils to fire.
