View Full Version : Recommended wheel lug nut torque for Mazda 3?
Is the recommended wheel lug nut torque for 2009 Mazda 3 with 15" wheels 85 ft-lbs?
If I do not hear a "click" when hand torquing, should I loosen the nut and then hand torque? I think, certain nuts have been over-torqued in my car, so I do not hear a click when I hand torqued them.

IIR reading, the torque setting should be 80-108 lb.ft. / 108-147 Newton meters.
I normally set it to 90 lb.ft as the medium between those 2 numbers.
If you don't hear the click from your torque wrench, you haven't reached the setting. Keep applying force until it clicks.

I've been using 95 but i will have to torque it down.
I've been reading that non steel wheel you should not be torqueing over 80 lbs
and just checking them more often ..
