Engine light on / O2 sensor again?

Hello my 08 Mazda 3 got an engine light a couple of days ago. The last time in many I got a light was about a year or two ago and scanner showed it was the bottom O2 sensor. It was replaced an no issues until two days ago.

I had not used my car for 2-3 weeks and the light was in for only a couple of hours and it’s been 3 days with no light.

Is it possible it could be the O2 sensor that gets weird from not being used for weeks?

Unless it keeps coming on I wouldn't worry about it, and if your are not noticing any engine issues like lack of power, rough idle and/or higher fuel consumption. Alot of times you get glitch-codes which when cleared never or rarely occur again.

Next time though record the code you get.

Was it for the O2 sensor malfunction
