I was just wondering, to those with HIDs.
Do you find them better or worse than the yellowish stock bulbs in a THICK fog?
(like we had on Wed. night?)

What I\'m wondering is, do you find it either cuts through the fog so you see better? or
because the light is so white, does it REFLECT off the water droplets
leaving you in almost a \'whiteout\' condition?
(try turning your highbeams on in a really thick fog, it\'s worse)

I have the stock bulbs, they\'re not too bad in the fog,
i\'m just curious if HIDs are better in this circumstance too.

Tellow cuts thru fog better right?? I don\'t know, i\'m just guessing it does
since high-end cars have yellow fogs. I\'m curious to try the Lamin-X overlay
on my fog lights too to see if there\'s any difference.

EDIT: GRAMMAR :D

In thick fog, the more yellow the light, the better.

By adding the film over it you will be decreasing the light output - you won\'t see any better. Now if the fogs produced yellow light themselves sans filter, that would be another matter.

3000k HIDs anyome? :p

I wouldn\'t call what we have, fog lights. I would call them driving lights...purely cosmetic lights. I had fog lights on my RAV4, albeit small ones, but their high center position made a difference one night driving through New York State.

man,
the fog lights on our cars are friggen useless. lol like i gota be sitting really high up to see them, i dont even see them going on and off. on the other hand. my dads pathfinder has a dramatic difference when on and off.

You want some real fog lights invest in a nice Hella set. They have HID one\'s as well.
