Every now and then our Toronto Protege Club does \'sprited driving\' up in the Caledon area. We pack shovels, FRS, flares, tow rope etc and have a good time drifting in the snow (seasonal), or just plain putting our mods to work. It\'s quite a fun time as we pull off, take pictures, video tape etc.
We have scouts kilometers ahead to break radar and notify the others.
I would love to be a passenger in a 3 as I whip through the FOTC and surrounding area. Dad\'s new GS is solely for him and he doesn\'t want me taking any excursions with it.:( Maybe you guys could organize one.
Sounds like fun. I may be interested in such an event after I get my summer tires/rims on.
autoexe, he was proposing for winter... not summer. But I\'m sure some of the other drivers will love to watch a car with summer tires try to rally through the snow trails! :D

I\'d go.... but my car has been damaged enough this year. I don\'t want to risk it. I will come and watch tho :p

We also conduct summer ones with the nice dry weather and better conditions. No one ever gets lost as we stay in a fairly good grid with Hwy#10 to the East and Mississauga Rd to the West, Hwy#9 to the North and Mayfield Rd to the South.

Police enforcement is usually on the nice long weekends in the summer and spring cause lots of motorcycles go up and down there. We usually have our FRS radios and a scout go a 1/2kilometer ahead to warn us. Other than that we are usually good.

It\'s not limited toward any type of driver, the adrenaline takes over. There\'s no room for error as there are massive ditches, cliffs like any country road. As the weather gets nicer I\'ll host one to finally meet and greet the boys, men, girls and women around here. I live 10min south of the area and often I release frustration there. I believe it is a 5speed drivers wet dream here in the GTA.
Sometimes I\'m up on a summer Sunday morning at the crack of dawn, mist laying in the lowlands, next to no traffic on the road and the sun just popping up. I wind down my windows and the orchestra begins. Driving spiritedly with a mild aftermarket muffler echoing off the corridor of trees canopy-ing the roadway, the Vibrant short ram intake sucks with a snorty growl with every stab of the gas pedal and the slight turbine whine it makes as I wind out each gear to its fullest creshendoes along with the engine purr of a WRC car. Every gear change is maximized for speed, control and traction of the bends, curves and turns.
The beauty of the hearing all that sound while manually operating the 5speed also lends to heel to toe shifting, double clutching if you like, rev matching and all sorts of combonations your creative mind can throw together. Then there is that one particular turn that is LEGENDARY. I call it the bent office paper clip. Located by some train tracks beside it, there is a near 45degree grade hairpin with a 180degree turn and another long curvature close to 45degrees which requires down shifting to 1st gear only. Imagine looking at the the Letter \'Z\' placed flat then bent up in certian places in a 3 demensional plane.
Sorta hard to explain but I have actually hiked there with my car in a safe place and vidoetaped my club members rip through there. The beauty of that Forks of the CRedit Road is that it is all paved.
haha spirited driving in the snow with the RSAs, thats just asking for trouble. Maybe i\'d watch but not this year for me.

No, I wasn\'t at that meet. I only met Xenon @ MOM. The date has been postponed for whatever reason, although this weekend was awesome for temperature and road conditions. Most of us with winters on which is 70% in the club prefer a wee bit of snow dusting and minor subzero temperatures to maximize our tires and the fun factor. Winter tires are not too good on dry roads and +1degrees outdoor temperature.
