View Full Version : foglights!
The other day I saw an Audi with HID foglights and it looked so good I want to do something with my stock fogs now. While I don\'t think I\'ll be buying HID foglights anytime soon (or ever for that matter), I do want to change the bulbs.
Should I go for the yellow look (Nokya Arctic Yellow) or HID look (HOEN Xenonmatch)? As much as I like the yellow look I have a feeling it\'s going to be common soon and the HID fogs of the Audi were just plain sexy! I don\'t like how the Xenonmatch bulbs have a blue tint that you can see through in the foglight housing when it\'s off though - I\'m trying to keep my car as monochromatic as possible so I definately don\'t want a vinyl overlay over my fogs.
Any suggestions on foglight bulbs and where to buy them? Thanks!

I have the Hoen Xenonmatch foglights in my car. If you can hold off your purchase you can take a look at mine and decide if you like them or not.
If you could show them to me in person that would be much appreciated! I won\'t be able to make it to the next meet though...so let me know if you\'re able to meet some other time.

I would personally go with the HID look as opposed to the yellow.....just as you said, the yellow is starting to get quite popular, and on your colour car I think the white will look better.
That\'s what I was thinking...I\'m trying to get my car as monocromatic as possible. Yellow doesn\'t really go well with grey.

Sure, where and when?
Preferably early afternoon, otherwise, whenever you\'re free. Downtown would be great, but I\'ll drive to wherever\'s convienient for you. Email me! Thanks.
finally got my new foglights installed today...PIAA 4700k H11
they were a pain (or PITA as bluntman would say :p) to install - my car was too low and there wasn\'t enough clearance to get the screwdriver down there to remove the dust shield...I ended up having to jack up the car to get in there

my only gripe is that they don\'t quite match my 6000k HIDs - the colour\'s closer to 4100 or 5000k HIDs - much better than the stock fogs though

wow,
lol do the foglights actually help u? cause when i sit in my car, the foglights did not hgelp me at all, i coudlnt tell the difference between whether they were on or off.
recently with the yellow overlay i was able to see like a HINT of yellow coming on and off when i turned my foglights on and off. lol the foglights i find are useless.

No, the foglights don\'t do very much from inside the car regardless. But I\'m running them as DRLs so all the more reason to make them look good.
