Got this info from the Toronto Star\'s wheels section about tires. Someone was looking for a very quiet tire. and the tire expert\'s replied.
For an ultra quiet ride consider the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred, Yokohama AVSdbS2, Michelin HydroEdge and the Michelin Harmony.
The absolute best ride quality is between the Michelin Harmony and the Goodyear. The quietest tire is the Yokohama. The best steering response will be the Yokohama.
For the summer use all-season. They can provide grip in a broader range of tempature in the spring and fall. They are less expensive than summer performance tires and in normal day to day driving will provide all the grip you can want. Next fall you will probably find the best prices on a rim and tire package deal at an independent tire dealer. Wait until next fall to buy winter tires. There will be new designs on the market. You might be able to get steel rims from a auto recycler at a much lower price. For any further question contact John Mahler at \"thetireguy_1@hotmail.com\"
Just for your info.
