Random thought: "Ricer", "Rice Rocket"
So in a fit of sleep-deprivation, a thought occured to me. The term ricer is coined for someone who decides to distastefully modify their vehicle so that it is either tacky, a poor replica of it's intended model, or just plain stupid... I'd gather that the moniker derrives from being predominantly started with Japanese cars.
So, that said, is there an equivalent derrogatory term for cars of other production-origins?
German = Schnitzel wagon?
Korean = Kimchi car?
American = Cheeseburger buggy?
Swedish = Ikea Jalopy?
Yeah, it's a random and pointless thought, but it makes my painfully slow day inch by a bit quicker I guess....
Re: Random thought: "Ricer", "Rice Rocket"
get some sleep bro...
and don't call my Chery a rickshaw!
Re: Random thought: "Ricer", "Rice Rocket"
Marijuana is a terrible thing to have and not to share.
Someone once compared the Mazdaspeed3 vs. the GTi and called it 'Noodle vs. Strudle'. LOL.
Personally, I was terribly offended and sent them email after email demanding an apology. :chuckle
Re: Random thought: "Ricer", "Rice Rocket"
You could also call a Swedish car a Swedish Meatball :chuckle

Don't make fun of american cars it's to easy, they are already a joke before people "trick" them out
I think Korean cars can still qualify under rice cars, same part of the world.
for German "rice" what about = uber viener?
and for the sweedish, I don't think I"ve ever seen a "riced" out volvo or a saab, but = nordic choke?

Would you guys consider these Volvos rice? http://forums.turbobricks.com/showth...light=airbrush
Some of 'em are pretty ugly imo, despite the effort put into their paint jobs.
