Long time lurker, first time poster!

Howdy everyone!

Name is Gord - another Ottawan sticking their nose into TM3. :) I used to browse both TM3 and OMC, but since OMC switched to requiring registration, I've been spending more time poking around here... Somehow it just didn't seem appropriate to register when I owned a Honda Civic...

That said, I finally got off my training wheels and got a real car: 2010 Mazda3 Sport GS. Couldn't afford to pick up a new one as a student unfortunately, but I managed to find one used (one owner, 25k km!) at a fantastic price and couldn't resist. Picked it up early October and been loving it ever since! :hawt

It's been an entertaining month though... This is my first-ever manual transmission, which has resulted in more than a few entertaining/embarassing incidents... Well worth it though. Driving is definitely much more fun with stick.

Look forward to contributing more to the community, but without further ado...

Anyone else recognize the wheels? I had a good laugh when I realized what they were off of. :chuckle

After I got it home I gave it a nice waxing and intended to get some new pics... Weather didn't cooperate though. Hopefully I can take some nice ones in the near future though!

Don't worry...when I picked mine up couple months ago...it was my first manual car as well.... and had a few embarrassing moments tool!!! I stalled it once in the middle of the intersection on the left turn lane...LOL....its funny now...not so much when it happened though..

Anyways...give it about a month...and it should all good!!!

I assume they didn't like the 7-spoke 16" alloys which come stock, and decided to go for a less conventional set of 17" from the '5.

I personally rather like them for now... They're (to me) more interesting than the stock alloys at least. Although I'd like to switch to the 2009+ RX-8 18" alloys come next summer, if I can find a set for the right price. (no, NOT the R3 rims... lol)
