Stiff clutch pedal - What gives?
Hi to all,
I 'm trying to figure out what could cause a stiff clutch pedal on my '05 Mazda3. It has 190k, it is the original clutch. There's no grinding, no squeaking when I press the clutch pedal, the clutch fluid is topped-off and there is no signs of clutch slippage. The pedal is just stiff as heck to press!
It is stiff to the point that I am getting a sore leg when driving in traffic from pedal pressing/releasing.
Anybody had (or have) the same issue? I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities.
Cheers,
-g

I have similar experience. Would also like to know the answer.
Re: Stiff clutch pedal - What gives?
Your clutch is almost worn and will need replacing soon. The more worn, the harder it is to press. Eventually it won't engage at all if you leave it.

Sounds like a worn clutch. Luckily manual transmission cost a lot less to fix.
