Is the cost of getting a new performance exhaust system and cold-air intake worth it when it comes to increasing fuel efficiency or is all just for sound/show? I like my current performance but if getting these twos give me better mileage I will certainly look into getting them.
you can not pair performance and fuel savings. you may notice it improve slightly but for the most part mine is the same from before the CAI and mazda speed exhaust, but that comes down to more of how you drive. otherwise if you go up in performance you go down in fuel economy.
yeah thats what I hear but some people say that the increased air-flow puts less strain on the engine, thus it is more efficient. I think what happens is people get these two and then they drive a little harder for the sound so they dont see the savings maybe? I'm no speed demon...i keep it to 70km/h max on regular roads and 125km/h max on highway. I hear so many conflicting opinions on this lolQuote:

theres my fuelly,
it shows the difference before the CAI then from CAI to Before the Mazdaspeed exhaust and then the fill up after. it did go down, but at $800 in mods.. and the difference say from 1.0L/100km.
was it worth it?
