pwdunmore's 2012 Mazdaspeed3
Hey guys,
Just got a new 2012 Mazdaspeed3 and I have been looking around to find things I want to upgrade in the future. For now I am going to get my Calipers painted and Rally Armor put on so its all pretty but I am noob when it comes down the engine. I have had a hard time finding Performance parts that are "2012" so I'm not sure if I will have issues if I buy anything for a 2011... I know they are essentially the same I just don't want to F*ck anything up on my baby.
Here's what I was thinking of doing:
1. Cobb AP
2. SRI
3. Upgraded Turbo Intake
4. Change to Synthetic Oil
Any other Suggestions? I want to keep the spending to around $1000... gotta get winter tire and rims which is gonna run $1400.
Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Before you do any of those, I suggest a fuel pump or internals.
I would go:
1. Fuel pump or internals
2. Synthetic Oil change - Rotella T6
3. SRI+TIP combo
4. Cobb AP

and pricing:
1. Fuel pump ($750) or internals ($400 - $500)
2. Synthetic Oil change - Rotella T6 (you have to do this anyway)
3. SRI+TIP combo ($250 - $300)
4. Cobb AP ($500 - $650)
and yes it will most likely void your warranty

As far as internals and a fuel pump go, any idea what that will run including labour? just a rough number would be a huge help

dont' know about internals, but a fuel pump install will run you between $80 - $120 I'd say
edit: all prices I quoted were for parts only
labour for fuel pump/internals, and intake install is all extra.
AP is plug and play. Oil changes are oil changes.

Just did some shopping around on the internet, parts are gonna run $800+ for all the upgrades. Just gotta find someone to do the tougher installations.

Before you do any mods make sure to replace the SWAS bearings.

Anything you do to the car your warranty will be voided. If you are concerned about warranty dont mod. Its not rocket science

Have you considered Gapping your oil? We run a very specific oil gap...
Also, Duel dip sticks mod.. Nothing more bad ass then being able to check your oil levels at multiple points in the oil pan...
Edit: Obviously kidding...
HPFP first.. i made the mistake of modding before fuel pump and ran into some really lean situations.

I disagree. Warranty will not be voided unless it can be proven that the failure was a direct result of a modified component. ie. if you had a suspension problem your warranty will not be voided because you installed a SRI.
