Weird Noise? Thought it could be flexpipe... might be wrong?

OK so i got my flexpipe changed my Jimmy a few weeks ago and we had a little disagreement and misunderstanding so it made me believe that my flexpipe was not properly installed so he told me to come back... its making a weird noise and my friend who has a shop said it sounds like the flexpipe or a exhaust leak but today when i went to put it into 1ST gear i didnt fully throw it into gear and it made the noise lowder than when im driving and sounded like a wheel spinning and then slowing down as the revvs died down , that could just be the grinding of the gears but it sounded almost identical to the sound im experiencing when im driving as it only makes the sound when i am driving and at higher rpms, never when i just revv. so im wondering, could this be the tranny? flywheel? it couldnt be my clutch because i had an Exedy Clutch put in last November and my gears are still smooth and clean... im so ****ing confused and dont want to point fingers or assume its the flywheel too soon, anyone experience this or possibly know what could be my 3's issue?

well are you around newmarket/richmondhill ? i can show you its not pleasant and you might regret hearing it but maybe youll have a better understanding of how much pain i go through when i drive... it happened yesterday in rush hour coming home from Heart For Hearth, it was rainy and i was ripping it previous to the rain and my first thoughts were TRANNY then my tech checked it before i called Jimmy and he said it sounds like a leak.. but im skeptical

underneath middle back of the headers

i cant do it in the weekdays cuz i work from 730-5 at highland chevrolet in aurora so im gonna have to go on a saturday unless i can get someone to take it for me, but he doesnt have alot of saturdays free ... dunno what to do.

Have you found any clues how what that could be ? Because I seem to have the seem problem when I shift from 1-2 and 2-3, but also when I just rev in neutral. It seems like if something that is spinning is decelerating (the sound comes from around the headers).
