Does Thule or other aero roof rack fit older attachments?

Hi,

I have two bike racks from my old Thule rack with square bars. I want to get a new Thule or other with the "blade" cross bars (this is what Thule calls the aero bars that are more "aero" than the original Thule aero).

First, has anyone tried the Thule blade bars? Do they make much wind noise?

Second, does anyone know of adapters to allow connection of older Thule attachments (i.e. my bike carriers) to the new "blade" bars?

Which bike kits do you have? I'm not sure if all previous kits are adaptable to the new style of bars.
I'm sure if you check with bikerack near Leaside, they can help you out.

IIRC - there are / will be adapters available.

I think theyre called Xadapt or something like that.

The guy at Rack Attack was mentioning that Thule might be giving the adapter free when you purchase the new Blade bars, so that any products you already have or purchase will be able to fit the new style. But that might have been a limited time offer
