Rx8 > mazdaspeed3 or mazdaspeed3 > rx8 ??

Ok so I recently purchased rx8 rims for my 3 and I found a guy that is willing to trade his mazdaspeed3 stocks for the rx8s, what are your guys tonight's on these rims ? Performance, looks, tires, etc i wanna see what you guys think about this trade and which rim is better for the mazda3

well depends on what gen of ms3 wheels but i still think your Rx8 wheels look nicer

Question is which do you like better?

Rx8's are lighter (iirc) and wider. So from a performance standpoint rx8's are superior.

Exactly the answer I was looking for in the performance category, do some reason I feel like the mazdaspeed rims spokes are nicer and will look nicer powder coated although they are heavier and skinnier.

So gen 1 or 2 MS3 rims?

Styling-wise, the more spokes the better. Not a big fan of the 5-spoke RX8 rims.

Weight-wise, both heavy so that'll probably negate performance.

But hey, at the end of the day, it's your decision. :)

on a normal 3, i like the rx8's better. really fills in the dead cat hole. and the shinka color is to die for IMO

rx8 is wider and lighter than speed3/6 wheels.

I would Stay with the 8's

RX8's are wider, which is why I switched to them.

The Mazdaspeed rims look much better, in my opinion.

i swear both 2012 rx8 and SPD3 rims look verry similar design ...even going as far as calling them the same. probably only different colors and size.

Meh, looks okay.

its all really about personal preferences. i like the look of the rx8's spoke design. how they have a slightly curved blade that adds depth and isnt over done. the deep lug nut areas and the overall clean look. the speed 3 rims looks busy and crowded with the flat face/spokes. also depends on the color of the car and rims and the overall look your trying to achieve.

again, its all about personal preference.

IIRC they are the same, the RX-8's are 19" as opposed to the MS3's 18".

Speed 2gen and RX8 look nice. I had both on mine last summer...and speed look nicer...but this year will be the 350Z wheels.

cast alloy, so im sure theres a bit of everything in it... is it 32 with tires??

32lbs with tires on a 18" rim would be incredibly light.
