2013 Mazda 3 GT in Late April, early May
Hi everyone,
I don't yet own a Mazda, but I should be joining your ranks soon! I'm looking at the 2013 Mazda 3 GT.
At this point, I'm in between two dealerships, trying to get a fair price. So far they have me at 31954.62 before financing (84 mths 0.99%).
I'm wondering if my assumption of Invoice (from Unhaggle, 25,505) plus 3 percent +
Freight
PDI
Air Excise
Registration?
"Admin and liscense fees"
PPSA
One of the sales consultants said that their invoice is 1k higher than Unhaggle. I'm not sure if this is the case (or if they've paid a higher price for more holdback or some sort).
Looking for some tips for negotiating. I'm doing this all via phone/email/fax as I work during the day.
Any tips/help would be appreciated!

Just out of curiosity... why did you opt for the GT? The new Mazda 3 is coming out soon, the current GT has an older engine..
For $32k, I would get the new 6, the GS is in this price range (granted, you don't get leather, nav, HID, but you get climate, backup camera, blind spot monitoring).

Tip.
Talk to Jeff-The-Biz ( forum handle)

See that's why people should fill out their profiles.

I chose the GT for the pep and the features. I don't drive very much (10-15k a year) so gas milage isn't the most important thing on my list. Do you have any idea how the new engine will be better? I'm not by any means a car guy, but my current car (first car too) has AC as it's only feature. It would also be nice to own a car that could pass an elderly couple on a tandem bicycle going uphill.
Jeff, thanks for responding to my private message.
At this point, the negotiations between the two local dealerships has ended, and I'm stuck at 32k for both dealers. They wont budge or offer me any options (car starter, oil changes, winter tires). I am exhausted (pun not intended) with the going back and fourth. I haven't reached the price I want so I may end up just holding off. I may take a look for a used option.

Looking at the GS Sky TE now. Only issue is the head room, I'm 6'2.
Re: 2013 Mazda 3 GT in Late April, early May
What is TE? I am also 6'2 and currently drive a 2004 Mazda3 GS and I have more than enough headroom. I have also rented the 2nd gen mazda's (non-skyactiv though), and I fit just fine as well.
Unless TE stands for 'Trimmed Elevation', I think you should be fine, just lower the seat and pull the steering wheel close (that's how I like it anyway, and actually; I'm not even down all the way).
