How do u like my new roof?

If anyone is planing on making ur roof black, think you should do what i did! Plasti Dip! It's easy, cheap($25) and the outcome looks fantastic! Check out the link below! Im debating if i should plasti dip my whole car now.....

if plastidip was not put on real thick, don't even think about removing it, such a serious pain in the ass. All I did was my front grill and it took a couple hours to pick/rub/scrape it all off...should have done more coats, I thought 3-4 was enough, I was wrong

having said that, you did a great job!

Does PlastiDip peel/tear easily if you do it to the entire car?

You need to lay out 7 or so coats for it to peel off "easily".

Yeah, i agree! i plasti dipped my side mirrors with only 3 light coats and it looked perfect! but when i tried to take it off, PAIN IN THE ASS!! i ended up using a pressure washer to get that off. and i used a full 3 cans for my roof

that looks insanely good compared to my old attemps LOL im actually looking to get mine done soon!!

maybe you can put a glorifier on too

I really need to work on my dipping skills..

I had to take plastidip off my skirts yesterday. The guy that did it didn't do enough coats. The best way I got it off was soapy water and a scrub brush (the shoe ones with the handle on top) . Took about 10 minutes to do the bottom of my skirts

i took like 4 hours to do it. but i waited 30mins in between layers (except 1-2). it didn't feel long cus i legit spent 2 mins spraying on the plasti dip and went back inside for 30 mins. key thing is to put on thin coats until you finish 3 cans.

i was thinking of that.... but won't it scratch ur car if u put too much pressure?

I mispoke.. it wasn't a shoe brush it was a laundry brush, so it's got those nylon or whatever bristles. I wasn't pushing really hard. The warm water really helped soften it up. I just kept massaging it in circles

Thanks :D it wasnt that hard. just open ur sunroof and put newspaper there. i tried doing it with my roofrack on..... didn't really work out LOL

sick, ill try that one day. and nope, no glossifier was added. i like the matte look

LOL not trying to be riced and all but that actually helps when im on the highway or going over 120km. The wipers won't flap. those things keeps it down. ahahaa
