How to fiberglass Subwoofer box.
This is my first how to, and first ever fiberglass subwoofer box done in my gen one 3.
First start off removing the panel and tape over the section you will be turning into the Subwoofer box.

Next start with a layer of resin and then add the fiberglass, cut the sheet of fiberglass into different lengths and widths to compensate for the shape you are trying to form. I did 4-5 layers of fiberglass, then let that sit to dry. I added small prices of wood under the glass for strength on the flat parts of my box, the more curves, the more strength. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a383d3a31f.jpg
Next after your backside of the box is done, cut your rings for mounting the speaker and drill the holes, use wooden dowels to support the speaker ring and use hot glue or an epoxy to hold it all in place. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d96735f736.jpg
After your rings are mounted, stretch fabric (I used an old shirt) around the rings to the side of the box and hot glue in place. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...aef6663b66.jpg
Next lather resin all over the fabric, let it harden and add 4-5 layers of fiberglass. I couldn't get it on the inside so I just put the glass on the outside. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...4dc5c7da10.jpg
Once dried you can cut the hole for the speaker and test fit. I used liquid nails around all the seams on the inside so it can be more air tight. I also added some on the outside. Circled in red is where I drilled two holes for my speaker wire terminals. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...2327834892.jpg
Next I used 3m spray adhesive to add fabric to the box. It works great if you can find a fabric that can stretch a little. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9a52a87307.jpg
Lastly I mounted it into my car by having it bolt in where a pop rivet goes for that trim piece. Has held strong with no problems to this day. This was my first time attempting this, no negativity please! Good luck! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...35ac435c3c.jpg
