Tehe. Oops.
This is not me...but I'd like to try...
A bolted MS3 on stock engine and stock turbo can pull on stock C63's...
A bolted MS3 could also pull on a stock Boxster S and hang out with a supercharged SVT Cobra.
Ask him how he he knows. Ask him.
I drove a Cayman S...it's not faster in a straight line, of course...but that's not even a challenge for the MS3 really. A SVT Cobra w/ over 400hp is more appropriate...
Personally, I've taken a Z8 from a dig...they're ~400hp...
A C63 is ~450hp...
Do the math:
C63 - 4000lbs/450hp = 8.9lbs/hp
MS3 - 3300lbs/x hp = ???
LOL...you guys figure it out...see if you're near... ;)
But like I said...it wasn't me...and I don't think I can do it yet. So it's unconfirmed!
Does it count that I only had a MS CAI and turboxs downpipe for both? From a dig anything can beat me in the rain with my winters. I get spin easing in to third and I don't even have much hp over stock. All I got now is the Fujita CAI and cpe FMIC.
I went with the SUPER UBER GRANNY driving and was only able to pushout 550kms on the tank. But that was with NO boost, ~85% highway driving, going 95kms on the highway, and about 5kms under the limit on all city roads, easing to stops and taking FOREVER to accelerate. I find that @ 5-8mmHG of vac you can accelerate but its uber slow, @ 10 -14mmHG of vac you can cruise around town and at 14-16mmHG you can somewhat maintain highway speeds. I mean it was a painful 550kms, and honestly it was not worth it. On average I get 420kms a tank with a fun foot and with 70/30 highway to city ratio.
Also the MS3 cant lose from a 40roll (40mph that is)...LOL
anyone know when I can find rear seat cover? cheap...
I've searched through Standard Auto Wreckers...no luck.
Heading to innovative in buffalo Saturday morning for the stock genwon baseline pull.
I recently switched to Shell V-power, did a highway roundtrip from Waterloo to London using cruise control for the highway, drove normally in London for approx. 30km total (90% highway, 10% city). I did a few....err... boosted pulls here and there. My trip meter was reading ~260km and I still had one 'cube' above half tank. Stock everything except RMM. I'm interested to see how a CS SRI would affect mileage since I know that the stock tune is too rich.Quote:

I have a stock tube and my dashhawk read stoic at cruising always. Why is yours rich?

I'm the 2007. Thankfully. Genwon ftw
^^^post that sheet with more details in the dyno section...
oops...youv'e been banned...sigh...
noobs ask pointless intake question...
more noobs pile on with irrelevance...
impatient MS3 techy jumps in....
noobs cry...
reason and humour drowns in noobs tears...
techy gets banned...
lesson?
only help those who help themselves.
not exactly.
Noob asks for help
N00bs try to help
Senior members suggest Jimmy
MS3 guy who doesn't actually know much but trolls many forums jumps in
above guy starts being an a=hole to members
mods warn
member starts telling off mods
dumb ass gets a one week vacation
Moral of the story - don't be an A$$hole, and don't flame mods.
well I don't condone the harsh behaviour nor the senseless sarcastic remarks, but coming from MSF.org, he couldn't help himself and stay on his toes and adapt...
nor do I dispute that he really shouldn't have engaged the mods the way he did...another lesson learned I hope...
however, the MZ3 guys don't jump into this thread...maybe cuz this thread is labelled "MS3"...maybe we can auto-apply a "MS3" tag to threads started in the MS3 section, to avoid another one of these situations...it's tough enough to share info and truth, and even tougher when half the thread explains the difference between the cars and why it'd be nice to keep our threads focused, and not have to light any other fire crackers and have ppl "burn out"....
i don't recall s.f.w. jumping into that thread :P
in any case, tokay's approach may not conform to the lifestyle that is TM3, but to say he doesn't know much isn't exactly fair.
he probably knows his stuff but has little tolerance for those that don't know trying to answer a technical question.
Hey Fobio, are we still gona do that dyno day at APH in May?
I had my base numbers done on the APH dyno i want to see my I/DP/T numbers on the APH dyno.
Quick question, I know Rotella T6 5W40 is darn good for our car, but what about warranty wise? =X
Thanks!!
