lol that was the plan for the BBS. I am waffling between selling them and getting a nice track-friendly setup, or keeping them and staying stancey. I've been talking with a TM3 member about buying the BBS, but if he doesn't want them I'm keeping 'em haha
lol yeah might as well get the Nexens... maybe that way I can keep the BBS and just add a track setup in the future :)
Congrats on the acceptance brodog, that's exciting! If you do matte burgundy you should so some burgundy suede interior bits or something. VIP yo.
What size tires you looking for?
if you were to get track wheels how wide would you go?
If I kept the BBS and got a track-only setup, probably 17x8 rpf1's with 235/40's. I'd like 17x9 but I don't think I can raise my car high enough to clear 255's
thanks Phil :)
Yeah hurry up and mount them. 17x9 +35 with 255's :drool
edit: looks like the bumper deal I thought I had fell through:bang
I posted up in the classifieds for one, but might as well mention here that if anyone has an 07-09 HB front bumper for sale (any colour) let me know!
Steve, change to summer mode already, you making it snow again :flaming
Ok, summer tires are on. Replaced my slicks with Nexens. I heard they stretch well but they do not stretch as nicely as my old Falkens :( They seem to run wider too... looks like I'm going to have to do a little more work to make them fit than I had planned on.
Anyway, summer wheels just installed (posted this a while ago in other threads)

Test-fitting 10mm spacer (on the left)

For anyone curious, they are 205/40 up front and 215/40 rear. Will get some decent photos once they're completely done.
Are you running longer lugs with those spacers?
NEWP. 2 turns FTW.
I just took it around the block. My fenders still aren't rolled, and it's undriveable as a result.
I got extended lugs with the spacers I bought from garage16.ca but they don't fit the Mazda 3 :bang:bang:bang
Really odd because they were done as a GB specifically for the Mazda 3 on this site. I've just about had it with them...
so yeah I need extended lugs and a fender roll, then she's good to go.
edit: also just installed my old lip. Picked up a new lip from Soyabean this afternoon (actually his fiancee) and that'll go on the new bumper. Big thanks to Ben and Jenny for accommodating my surprise visit and hooking me up big time!
Spacers from G16 that don't fit?
Been there.
did you go to g16 for the tires too?
when are you getting the new front bumper on?
As soon as I get my crap together and buy one haha. I threw the old lip on last night for the time being. Looks good at night lol

it looks good anytime!
Looks great steve. If you want to take a leap of faith, I'm going to try selling my old AE bumper -- of course it requires some body work and of course rebar work lol. Once that's done though its fitment is very good, better than my new one.
Thanks Mitch, I debated the AE bumper in the past but I don't really like how it looks in white. Not sure why. If I had a dark car I'd probably jump on that
Had my fenders rolled last night and installed my spacers. Did not end well. Looks like I'll have to replace the drivers side fender... Anyway for now it looks fine.

How'd they mess up? It's a huge job to replace the rear fenders. It's the largest body panel.
The inner separated from the outer and pulled away. There's crease along the arch.
cant see the image
Does your work block Flickr? The damage isn't shown. I'll post a pic later today.
Have your quarters been done before? I was under the impression that (From the factory) the Mazda 3 fenders were one piece?
That being said I will eventually need a drivers side quarter too (patch panel is failing) and has already lasted longer than I expect after my initial roll.
Blain did it yes?
Yeah Blain did them. They were repaired this spring, I'm assuming the second piece was added to strengthen the lip.
So I'm going to try to seal the area and keep them as is, but I think it will have to be replaced before long. Either that or... Well... Something else... Haha
Yeah, rolling repairs is a pain in the dick.
You've been that low without your fenders rolled all this time? Cant imagine lol.
Yeah the offset and tire with saved me. If I were any wider or lower I would have chewed my tires.
Anyway, ZG flares.
