What's the deal with the wrap job on the manifold? Having open spots and it being loose makes it very ineffective
the way the manifold is designed, the open spots make it impossible to wrap tight without it falling off.
That ****ing thing better start bitch.
you are better off not having it wrapped, the open spots will create hot spots, possibly leading to cracking
He's talking about localized hot spots
was going to say the same thing
Here she is! finally done! off to APH tomorrow :)

thank you! car is currently at APH :)
post the numbers when you get them!! and some more pics
Good luck! hope to see the car soon!
well first im doing a break in tune, so i wont be running any boost basically, in a few days i will go back (when i hit 500KM) then do the pro tune :)
update: got a call from brian at APH, looks like i need a new camshaft pos. sensor. but other than that everything else is looking good so far. does anyone know for whatever reason why it would just be not functional? it was working fine before, i cleaned it before i put it back. the wires are fine, they are getting power so its just the sensor.
nobody has the sensor of course! APH will try and find one tomorrow. or else ill have to order it from mazda, will get it friday for 75$... not bad, but im getting impatient now!
Brian called me for a spare. I checked my box of goodies and all I had was spare MAP sensors. Good luck with it though. Just verify the wiring with a meter which I think Brian may have done already. If all is well with that get a new sensor. No sense I spending money on what could be a loose plug.
:) thanks @CelestSpeed3 !! lets hope thats the only issue i run into!
Update: put the new cam pos sensor in and it started right away. Wont be ready tonight though he didnt have time to get to it, so hopefully tomorrow!
thats awesome! you must be pumped
Yes i am! so i got an email last night and the car is ready for pickup! im gonna be driving all day and niight so i can go back for the protune soon! so pumped :D
update: picked up the car, drove downtown and back with no issues at all :)! will post pictures up tommorow !
Good stuff, glad to know your car is back up and running ;)
Update: going back to APH on thursday to get my final tune :) excited to see the numbers it makes! Will post results soon.
Excited to see compression results!
got a question... as i was driving home i saw my custom gauge lights flickering a bit, as i would slow down & stop...when i would accelerate the car would like reset itself, like a split second shut down and turn on... ofcourse its got to be a conection problem. but where! does anyone have any ideas? ive checked around the battery and everything seems to be grounded properly and tight. suggestions would be appreciated :)
@2010maztre the whole car would shut off and on, kind of like a quick reset.. as im driving id see the lights flickering then as i would put the car in neutral and come to a stop, or just press the gas it would reset. i have no idea where this is coming from!
sounds like the problem @Kiyomi had with his pinched wires like 2010maztre said
