That's what I told Mazda when I called to schedule possible service. They're convinced it's hydrolocked because of the intake. I should know more tomorrow after I take it in.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Condensation in your intake, when drops of water hit the MAF you get a high reading and it ****s with all the fueling logic and your car stutters. It's not good but you aren't screwed, just take the MAF out and dry things up carefully....or give it a couple days to dry out on its own.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Clean your MAF and check your spark plugs. Go for a drive.
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Took it in to Mazda this morning. They had it all apart and hooked up to all the diagnostic equipment and found nothing wrong with the car. They told me to keep an eye on it and bring it back if I experience any further problems. It did drive really well from westowne Mazda up to Dufferin and Steeles where I work. Either way, thanks to everyone who posted last night with advice. I really appreciate the help!

This too...but I'm 99% sure what I said is what the problem was. It has happened to me a couple times, it's nothing to do with the filter getting wet...just the right combination of humid air/moisture, drive time and parts heating/cooling at different rates causing condensation to form inside the intake and sucked in through the MAF sensor. I even have datalogs of it happening and you can see the MAF volts go from like 2-3v right up to nearly 5v between two readings.

This is actually what the mechanic said before I took off. I just didn't know how to properly explain it to you guys. Still in the learning process.

Anyone here install their Guardian Angel yet? I was thinking of doing a Nator install day for people who picked up the GA in the MSpeed GB.

LoL doesn't mean you can't see the sights while you're there!
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
The best sights are North Bay in your rear view mirror when you leave.
