Will fit no problem.
I was dumped on KW V2s, 19x9.5 +27 R and 19 x 8.5 +37 F
all I had was a rear fender roll, and stretched 225/35 tires on the 9.5s and 215/35 on the 8.5s
Oh ya, totally forgot 2nd gens have a bit wider fenders.
LOL you were in my car when I had two sets of tires in the back :P
and rubbing isn't the end of the world, if you want stance its something you'll usually have to live with (from my limited experience)
Depends what rubs. I actually rub much MUCH more with my winter setup.
You're right, it's not, but anything you can do to prolong the life of the tires is always good.
Going from 19's to 16's in the winter may be a bit of an experience lol.
Unfortunately, unless I win a small lottery soon, my dream set up will have to wait 1-2 years.
Want Tenzo Concept-9's. $363 for 1 rear rim $346 for 1 front. + rubber
I don't even want to know what a brand new set of my BBS would cost now :S 1k+ a corner? Kijiji ftw.
It IS a lot of work, but definitely worth it. I've got about $1700 into mine, which I think is close to their current market value. However I got exactly the wheels I wanted out of it, instead of having to search endlessly for a deal where I liked the finish too. Buy from Japan now, ship by sea (just under 2 months) and give them to Curbed in February.

If I won the lottery I would not be modding my Mazda3 further ... TESLA for the win, plus I have a cousin who works there in HK... BTW by experience any rubbing is good... (Phil dont say thats what she said! LOL)
Re barreling isn't really cost effective (I think) when you consider shipping the wheels across the country and then the fact that they are now xx spec and you need xx buyer to purchase them.
I came here to post something else and now I forgot.
Bah!
Oh right

19s on a first gen
Enkei RP03 19x8.5 +42 (running +37 up front and +27 in the rear with spacers) with 215/35/19 front and 225/35/19 rear General Exclaim UHP
^That retarded van thingy from japan running like > 45* of camber?
^ lol, you're gettin too old Dave!
Yeah, was it that ridiculousness from japan?
love the sti splitter on that red hatchie
Nah it was Chefs hatch on 19s I wanted to post lol.
dave - VW's typically run offsets of like +30 - +35 right?
Factory?
Ya I think in and around 33-35 they can run with no issues. But once they need adapters it makes things all weird but for our pattern mk5 and up (I think) can use wobble nuts.
I used Yahoo Japan Auctions, which is very popular over there. Browse it using Google to translate. Email any vendors with the wheels you like, with a nice detailed note asking if they would kindly ship to Canada. Within a week of browsing the site I had found the wheels with a guy who would ship and let me pay directly (signing up for an auction account to buy isn't that easy). I could dig up his info if anyone is interested, as he still deals in wheels I believe.

suspension - BC coilover + dominant engineering rear camber arms
wheels - privat legend (18x9.5 +25 /225/40/18 tires)
love dem rims. and fogs
that is soooo hot omg
That is a very nice setup
Fake wheels :BARF
just kidding lol... I LOVE that stance! looks very aggressive and functional too
Lol are those even 'fakes' though?
IMO inexpensive original design wheels are fine. I mean DAI candy wheels (and my old wheels) kinda look like Gram lights and no one ever ragged on them
I don't know... I know Privat makes BBS replicas, so I assumed. Honestly though, I have nothing against "fake", "replica" or inexpensive wheels AT ALL. I was just making a joke haha.
I don't even mind when people put BBS caps on replicas... just as long as they don't try to sell them as the "real" versions.
