Lesson learned!....Doesn't matter that she stopped you should have been watching, but you know that already!....I'll bet he/she wanted to jump over a couple of lanes, hence why she stopped; I've seem this countless times...Always anticipate the driver(s) in front or around you will do something stupid and your a step ahead...Rule #1 in defensive driving. ; )

Re: Post your dashcam video!
I am hoping @CloudPump can lend his 2cents in the situation.
So here is how it stands;
-Police officer showed up, told us both to go to the reporting center. No ticket to me, no charge, no points, no police report.
-I gave the lady that I hit none of my insurance information, based on the Ontario No Fault clause she deals with her insurance (I went through this less then a year ago getting rear-ended)
-I went to the reporting center right away to get everything dealt with.
-I am not "at-fault" on any documents.
-My truck doesn't require any fixing, 5 mins with an exacto knife and I just cut out the plastic piece that broke, replacing whole bumper in spring anyways.
So do I need to let my insurance company know?
-No ticket
-No Claim
-No fault means she deals with her insurance company.

Your insurance company will find out regardless.
Fault is not determined by police or by the collision reporting centre or on any of the documentation you would receive. Fault is determined by the Financial Services Commission of Ontario's "Fault Determination Rules".
You are 100% at fault in this circumstance.
No-Fault insurance does not mean that you just deal with your own insurance company. No-Fault insurance means that your company pays to fix your vehicle, her company pays to fix her vehicle (thus avoiding her having to sue your insurance company to get damages paid) then behind the scenes, her company bills your company for the damage you caused. This is called subrogation.
Her insurance is going to pay to fix her car and will still tell your insurance about it whether you told them or not.

Even though he didn't give her his information?
Or she can probably just grab it from the reporting center I'm guessing?

Nope. Car behind is always responsible for stopping, regardless of the actions of the car in front.

The police report (yes, I know he said there wasn't one, but that's exactly what you're doing at the collision reporting centre) will have all the information on it. His insurance will also be sent a copy of this report.

Doesn't matter.
When Car A hits Car B from behind, Car A is 100% at fault every single time. There is no consideration for circumstance in the Fault Determination Rules.

Thanks Geoff,
I will give my insurance company a call later today then and notify them.

Might as well get them to fix anything on your truck since the claim will go against you whether or not they pay you for any damages. (if you have one) your accident waiver will be consumed, but you're going to be stuck with your current provider for about 6 years until the accident falls off.

Oh really, so regardless if I get the bumper replaced or not I am getting dinged the same, will I have to pay my deductible even if I don't fix my truck because she will be making a claim?
Don't believe I have the "1st accident forgiveness" on my plan.
It just took 6 years to get my insurance down from $400 a month to $100....now im fked again probably. This on top of my wife loosing her job after this yesterday is a kick in the teeth.

Whether or not they pay money to fix your truck, the accident will be rated the same (unless you're with Wawanesa, they are a special case).
You would have to pay your deductible.

Re: Post your dashcam video!
I was in a very similar situation as you back in January... All my truck needed was a new bumper. Pulled one for $40 at a pick and pull and coated it with bed liner, not worth my $1000 deductible
IMO not worth it to have your bumper fixed if you can fix it with an exacto knife :)

Got caught napping. We can all learn from this video.

Hmm, I'm a bus driver for a company that shall remain nameless. I'm considering getting a dashcam for the bus just to show the average GTA driver the daily pain I suffer. Also as a way to protect myself, as you'd be shocked to hear the amount of accidents that buses are involved in. Only problem is only a small percentage of buses have a cigarette lighter for power. Decisions, decisions.

You can get a power bank to power your dashcam. Xiaomi power banks are pretty good from banggood.com There's a lot of fake ones but that site is legit. It takes a month to arrive though.
