Re: mikey32235's ride thread
tried it didnt work lol... regardless im taking care of it,
next on the list...
was installing spin on filter kit today and i realized that mazda gave me the housing for the 2.0... will be picking up the one for the speed tomorrow and will finish install then :) advice to give to anyone doing this i would say its pretty easy, takes about an hour to do. just be very careful if you are working with jack stands, your going to be under the car. make sure everything is secure, would not want any fatal injuries! all i could think about while under the car "F*ck please dont fall please dont fall" aha
ALSO
Got my prosport gauges in, will be getting all the wiring and fishing to the engine bay done by Moe at future shop (warden and 7) charged me about 150 for all labor, wiring. I will be doing the hookup of the boost/oil pressure/oil temp (fairly simple) If your capable of hooking up the mechanical stuff then go see him.

@mikey32235 Let's see some logs. :)
Not sure if you ever posted one..

Re: mikey32235's ride thread
Do you worry about not having a airbag? I love the wheel too but damn that trips me out
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread

Re: mikey32235's ride thread
Good luck with your insurnace company if you get into accident.... They won't cover it cause of your air bag is gone
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
nah at first i was a little worried but you get used to it. :) thanks for the comments guys!

Your face won't get used to it if you're in a collision
Though I believe the chances of a 20 year old in a modded turbocharged hot hatch getting into a collision are quite slim

Re: mikey32235's ride thread
wonder if momo sells steering wheels with airbags in them.
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
I don't think so, I've seen some aftermarket ones with bags in them but I wanted the momo race wheel, smaller and feels awesome

Why did you mention me in this thread? It's full of Aids.
I would like to know if Brian at APH knows That Mikey has been spouting out in the MSF community that his tune was shit?
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
When did I ever say Brians tune was shit? I'd like to give stratified tuning a shot so why not? Don't know why u have to spread shit that isn't true.
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
Well, you kinda implied that you want to re-tune before the motor goes boom.
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
never said that, if something i said made it seem like that itsnott true. I would like to try another tuner (lex/stratified) and see the differences/results and compare. this is my first time doing serious tuning on a built car and i would like to explore all options.
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
was in the heat of the moment, didn't mean it like that. i just basically want a second opinion. going to give stratified a shot and see what we come up with
-
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
Cleaned up. You guys want to bitch at each other, do it on MSF or in PMs.
