Re: mikey32235's ride thread
got a question... as i was driving home i saw my custom gauge lights flickering a bit, as i would slow down & stop...when i would accelerate the car would like reset itself, like a split second shut down and turn on... ofcourse its got to be a conection problem. but where! does anyone have any ideas? ive checked around the battery and everything seems to be grounded properly and tight. suggestions would be appreciated :)

could also be a pinched wire somewhere behind your gauges. did your whole car turn off, or just the lighting?

@2010maztre the whole car would shut off and on, kind of like a quick reset.. as im driving id see the lights flickering then as i would put the car in neutral and come to a stop, or just press the gas it would reset. i have no idea where this is coming from!
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
sounds like the problem @Kiyomi had with his pinched wires like 2010maztre said

Re: mikey32235's ride thread
could it be one of the gauge wires are loose?

He had a pinched wire somewhere from his gauges yes, it was causing the same issues as you I believe. Could just be pinched at a panel or something
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
so i went to go check, all the gauge wires are good. so i tried to start the car and now it wont start.. not saying its cranking over and not starting, it wont crank at all. but theres power. so i know that it has to be a connection to the starter thats loose. only problem is its not something i can do on the driveway..

Noooooooooo
all good projects mustn't go smoothly

Re: mikey32235's ride thread
im assuming its a bad ground, so im gonna drive it to work later and see if i can find it. i think the starter is ok, because before when i put everything back together i had the same issue of it not starting and i played with the wire a bit and it worked just fine. ill update later.
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
Time to dust off that multimeter
Re: mikey32235's ride thread
alright so all of the visual grounding wires i could see i properly grounded them with the connectors. and when i took the starter wire out, i could see it was in rough shape. so i made a new connection and it is alot tighter now and it starts like a charm every time. as for the lights flickering, seems to have stopped. Off to APH tommorow for the final tune! :)
