Riz doesn't get angry. When he says good for you, he actually means it

Yup, I don't get angry. :)
See the smiley there.
Not saying CT is shit. Surely, it happens everywhere else, just that quite a lot of coincidences happen at CT. :)

Everything is possible, it's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay
start by contacting some of the local sponsors.
Alpha motorsports, next mod, cta motorsports etc.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
My MS3 2010 just reached 40k last week. Didn't really drive it at all this week as I had study week (college). Went this morning to start the car, it just stalls. Just had it towed to Scarborough Mazda. Been searching the forum for anyone with the same issue but I haven't seen anything yet. Car turns on, revs up to about 1k, then stalls out. Hoping it might be a simple computer update but somehow I don't think so. Maybe a sensor or something stupid. If I try to turn the car back on after it stalls out, it does stay running but the car revs jump around and the traction control and engine light stay on. This is the first time I've had issues with this car as it's only needed oil changes and the like so far. I think it's time for a trade-in lol.

Sounds like a leak that might be the problem, my keyboard is messed up right now so this is going to be so this is going to be a funny looking post. Khek all your hoses and vakkum lines bekause one of them kould be loose or kraked. Khek the boost kontrol lines, boost lines, intake tubes and anything else you kan see. If you have a khek engine light the kodes might help lead the the kause.

Anyone know what Altech I should go to? There are two listings on google... one of them is Al Tech Automotive and the other is Altech Performance...
NVM phoned in, it is Al Tech Automotive

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Well they called and asked if I park outside. So I said yes, then they explained that something like a rodent somehow go into the engine and ate some wires. I don't think so as I can barely put my hand in there. Now it's not covered by warranty so it will be $109 per hour for them to try to fix the issue. It might not even be the issue at all. What a ****ing joke...

just because you can't get your hand in there doesn't mean that a rodent can't get their body in there

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I would go looking for the issue myself and see if something looks out of place so you can atleast narrow down the problem if you have to get a mechanic to fix it

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Yep, the dealership emailed me 3 pictures. Looks like a squirrel somehow got into the engine bay and ate into the engine heat shield on the hood but also looks like they ate some of the MAF wiring. Who knows how bad it could be, could be a simple MAF wiring harness replacement and the engine bay heat shield or it could go deeper and be a hole can of worms. All I know is that something should be under warranty as it has full everything. I'm just beyond furious at this moment.

Warranty will not cover damage done by a rodent.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
if an animal ate your wires, you can't expect them to be responsible.
also did you not notice this before you sent the car to the dealer?
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I didn't check under the hood before I sent it in. This is the last thing I was thinking could have happened. It just sucks as I'm a student and don't work so this makes my situation kinda dire. Hopefully this doesn't happen again as I will be installing some kind of shocking wire around the perimeter of the car. I didn't need to use the car all week as I've been off. This is just a bad day :(

always check under the hood.
what if it was just a loose battery connection....or a squirell ate all your shit...you wouldn't have known.
anyway live and learn

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I'm not an 18 yr old. I've saved to get this car. It being new, didn't cross my mind to check under for one second. I was thinking maybe a sensor went or something along those lines. All I know, it's 109$ for them to test thing, it came up with 3 codes so they will start there and check stuff out, he said some things might be covered or not depending. So hopefully it's just a MAF wiring harness. If not, it could reach an insurance claim as the service adviser mentioned last year it cost a guy over $6000 to repair squirrel damage. Not to mention, everything the needs is dealer serviced regardless. So hopefully they cut me some slack and help me out ahaha (seriously a joke).

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Double check with your insurance company regarding coverage because usually rodent damage isn't covered.
