nniiiiiiiiccceeee...!
They look horribly ugly:sarc
I also saw an UNmarked Chrysler 300 the other day. I thought it was a Bentley at first. Whoops!
I was at the intersection of Derry and Mavis. I saw a couple of cops on motorcycles stopping traffic. Then out of nowhere, a good 20-30 more cops on motorcycles passed me, in a scattered mass, going west on Derry. Then I saw around 10 crown victorias, some unmarked, some marked, driving west on Derry. Then maybe 5 Tauruses (Tauri?), all unmarked. Then the unmarked Chrysler 300, surrounded by more cops on motorcycles. 15-20 more motorcycles passed the intersection and then the two cops who stopped the traffic went to follow the rest of the cop crowd.
It was the weirdest thing in the world.
Off topic: The cops are always doing weird things on Derry between Mississauga Road and Mavis and near Mavis and 407. I\'ve noticed them there in groups of 2-4 in unmarked and marked cop cars, on the side of the road, or driving. It happens in the mornings, and it kind of looks like they\'re training the other cops how to drive. This has been happening the past 3 years, during the summer, or at least from what I\'ve seen.
looks like Dodge is giving a big push to become a vehicle supplier to law enforcement.
Next we will see Ford 500\'s done up. Maybe Chevy Impalas
I think the fusion would be a better candidate than the 500? Mustang?Quote:

the idea would be to be able too put someone in the back?
Typically, they don\'t teach the new cops to drive by taking them out onto public roads... There is a track for that at Ontario Police College, where they teach the recruits how to drive, and man, do they ever beat on those cars. The average lifespan of a training car at OPC is 3 months. It\'s a pretty cool track, I took a tour of the place with a good friend of mine who is a 4th Class Constable with York Regional Police.Quote:

But yeah, that does sound weird. I\'ve never seen anything like that in Toronto, although I did see the SWAT team barrel through an intersection in their Suburbans, fully armed to the teeth with shotgun and their helmets on and everything. These guys looked they were going to war. It was pretty cool.
There are quite a few different cars to look out for these days. Anything on the 300c platform is a possibility.
chevy Impala, I don\'t remember what year but the big ones that looked like the Chevrolet Caprice and it had a vette engine inside. I saw it on a show but don\'t think it made it here.
I don\'t think those impalas were used up here, they were just a domestic car. Nice though.
