I think more and more guys in US are starting to send their ECU to Dynotronics. Will you be sending yours to them too?
i cant c what the actual ecu looks like cause i cant c any more threads on that site...
edit, finding details on the re-flash and possible mass re-flash meet in t.o. :D./
interesting, keep me posted.
Dynotronics is usually at vagkraft every summer in August (or they've had a booth there set up for the past 2 years)
Here's the most recent review from M3R forums.
In summary...don't expect high hp and high tq, but more on the overall driveability of the car. Biggest fail in this review is he didn't dyno before and after - no facts and all subject to interpretation.
Another interesting aspect in the thread is there's an app in iphone/itouch that can connect with the car and you can run diagnostics. May have been covered in other topics, but I still think it's pretty cool.

yeah, the tune is good for driveablity. plus i understand you wont get much hp/tq compared to boosted applications. the saying goes 100 bucks for 1 hp. the other guy who did the tune got around 5-8 whp throughout the range, not 18-25. dynoed. cant find the thread rite now.
he spent $550 on a tune and couldn't scrape together $120~ total for before/after dyno?

Hey Justin, I've got a piggyback that is brand new that you can use to tune your car. The same piggyback was used to tune a twin turbo Mazda6 V6 so it will be able to do the 3 no problem. Its tunes injection pulse width for fuel adjustment, and has a A/D/A converter for timing adjustment so you should be able to get the results you are looking for. I'm asking $400 for the unit brand new with software if you are interested.
You can tune it yourself via datalogging and adjustments. The same way you would tune if you had an AP.
Brand is PowerMod (http://www.powermod.com.au/index-1.html) They're founded by a few engineers that left Haltech. It's a very good unit, I sold my 6 for the Speed before I had a chance to install it, the unit cost me around $750.
It works on any car, you just need to wire it up.
I'm home tomorrow till about 4:00pm.
sorry to revive this, but did you end up going through with the powermod unit, and if so, how's it working out for you??
Still interested to hear about this
dunzo. :D will be posting results.
