You can do it in the garage (assuming you have all the tools needed). Remove battery and intake and tip for easy access. :)

Getting the pump off and back on isn't bad but I went CP-E so it was just re/re no need to open it up.

You'll be fine, just keep the area you work in clean and spray the crap out the internals with cleaner (nonchlorinated) to get all the leftover crud out of the old one. Fear is always a good thing, makes you play it slow and safe :P

everything is going smoothly, about an hour ago i got the pump out, but i can't get the internal out.. I'm gonna have to bring it to my work tomorrow to get the press on it (strong grip) to get it out... other than that, its all good!!! :)
