I'm very sorry to hear you feel this way. I agree that it isn't a great situation. Mazda kept this exceptionally quiet. Really hush hush so no one knew it would happen. Every good thing has to start somewhere.

you buy the warranty that suits your driving situation. If you drive that many kms in a year, then you probably would not purchase an 84 month MAP

They cannot cater for every single person here. Someone who drives a low amount of kms, but wants 84 month warranty would benefit from that MAP

That's correct. Keep in mind that Mazda does offer a refund program. If you don't make a claim for the extended portion, you can apply for a refund.

This is offered only by a third party company. One is called XWRP and their is a cost associated with the program which you get back if your warranty is unused at all.
