that is just the dumbest thing ive ever seen. "lets take a great handling car and make it undrivable."

Slammed Miatas could fit under your truck.
Yea. These are my options:

For these rims.

Yep. 37/25 should be awesome. If you're unsure that you want them quite flush in the rear, go with 37 and adjust with spacers as needed.
lol yea the point of hella flush is to make the car undriveable? slammed miatas do look sweet and drive well too. my buddy has one that you could park on a mirror and its as clean underneath as it gets. yet you can rip it and take corners like a dream. and its around the same year as that white POS miata. its done properly and doesn't look like it came out of a cartoon.
i like hella flush to a certain extent but when you can't even drive the car its just stupid.
Who said the Miata was undrivable? I think that's the beauty of HF. It looks undrivable, but in truth is perfectly drivable.
Look at Edafe's 350Z. You'd think he wouldn't daily drive this beast let alone drift it...

^Ya... it's not considered daily drive-able if you need to get out and put ramps down every time u meet a speedbump/driveway etc.
Well he drove his "undriveable" car all the way to H2Oi this year... and back. At that height.
None of us can really speculate as to how well it drives because none of us have driven his car, or know anyone who has (unless someone here does?).
I've had people tell me my car is undriveable, and my response is always the same... "well how did I get here?"
To be devil's advocate (and I've only seen you in person a handful of times), you raised it to go to BC, you drove to MOM and then put the lip on.
There's stretches to 'undriveable', as Steve mentioned if you have to use a ramp to help with grades, pull out of a driveway like somethaiguy, choose different housing/street park because you can't make it up a curb cut, etc, etc than a level of undriveable has to enter the equation.
Granted as long as a super low car does not get in my way or impede movement because the street has speed bumps (its happened on Tichester Rd. just west of Spadina), I could care less how low they are. Isn't my car afterall.
I can't see the Miata pic at work if that counts for anything.....most likely not.
All fair points, but...
The reason I raised it to go to BC was because I was driving 1000km a day (hardly considered "normal" daily driving) and the tires would not have held up to the rubbing at my daily height. As soon as I got to BC, I slammed it again, and now tuck tire front and rear. For daily driving, which I do not consider 1000km a day to be, my car is driveable at iFest height, with the Kenstyle lip and splitter.
And the only reason I switched lips at MOM was because the new lip was intended to keep in mint condition for show purposes only. Due to a change of plans I now daily drive that lip.
But by your logic you would consider a stock lamborghini undriveable simply because it can't get into a parking lot with a large curb? I think that the "level of undriveability" would have to fall upon the driver. If you know where you're going and know where the bumps are, curbs, etc. and can find alternative routes to where you're going then why should your car be labelled undriveable? It's a lifestyle choice to drive static-slammed, and those of us who make that choice know we need to find alternative routes, parking lots, walk a little more because we have to park further away, etc etc. Just my .02
Don't mean to start a slammed vs practical war lol :D
that kid from NB drove to toronto for MOM lowered his car the full way down and then drove it back with four people in it... i heard this anyway
I think this sums everything up nicely.

Healthy discussion is healthy ;)
Lamborghini's come with (originally optional (early 2004 ish cars) and now I believe standard) a hydraulic front suspension system, even the Ferrari Enzo's front suspension has a lift system.
Hahaha kappa touche.....though didn't you drop it when you got here?

this is true... i was driving it slammed on the way and turns out my fender liner didnt like my tires which met bolt which met rotor making bad noises so then i raised the front a little and it didnt help so i just let the fender liner burn off hahaha then slammed it when i got to mom. was a good time
oh yeah and then i lowered it more when i got home.. dunno why just felt i should
Fair enough lol, learn something new every day :D
And to clear something up, when I say I raised my height for the drive across the country, I went from 1.8" clearance to around 2.5", not sure if that's still considered slammed or not.
And that miata is amazing <3 are those diamond racing wheels?

I'm in love
its considered undrivable when your a hazard on the road because you have to come to a complete stop everytime there is a crack in the road. like i said i like slammed cars when its done proper and actually improves the performance of the car not the opposite. or if it is a show car.
Hardly consider it destroyed lol. It's something he knew he'd have to deal with, and he made the choice to deal with it so he could roll proper.
And I have yet to see someone driving a slammed car hold up traffic and being a hazard to other drivers on the road because of how low they are. If we make a mistake in choice of route, we suck it up and deal with the scrapes / damage, just because we drive slammed doesn't mean we forget the laws. I guess moral of my story is, local pics or it didn't happen.
your right and wrong. personally im not trying to attack you or your car. that guy could have taken ppl out with him when his airbags deployed. he could of killed himself, his passangers and anyone else on the road. thats defiantly a hazard on the road. yes your right he has to pay the consequences of his choices but when other ppl have to pay the consequences because of his choice then it is a big problem.

errrrrr something like that ;)
Yeah I know lol, no offence taken! I actually like the healthy debate :D And it is hard to argue with the logic you use here, I just think ultimately the responsibility falls on the driver to make good decisions when driving, and in this case that could include distancing himself from other cars on the road whenever possible
that guy in the white miata would be dead in a matter of seconds driving downtown (i.e. bloor).
also i don't understand what the 180sx proves? so what if it can 'drift' around a track? im sure it took some skill and time to setup and drive that car, but unlike a proper suspension setup it could never actually be 'raced' around a track.
problem is when people take shit to the extreme i.e. murdered out, hellaflush, particularly if it doesn't belong on the road (anywhere but the a show/stage/track).
pedobear miata has pretty nice stance imo (don't know about the rest of the car or driver though). there are probably better examples but its the first one that came to my mind (the guy drove it under a truck lol).

the 180 proves you can drift around a track and be slammed to fack... that is all
well all jokes aside the car was built to drift not track... and lets face it the best race cars in the world have little to no wheel gap

Not really win... ever seen a race cars suspension?

Wait who's side am I on!?
how did the comparison of driving on a relatively smooth track vs driving on crappy streets come into play?
the race cars are extremely low, that's no doubt, but the bodies of those cars also take a good beating, and at the end of the day it doesn't matter because they'll just switch out any damaged parts and no skin off their back.
they also go through how many countless sets of tires in a day, and not the cheap stuff we buy either.
Anyway, I'm not arguing I'm just saying I don't know how the topic switched over to track cars.
If you're willing to take your slammed 3 for a romp around the track then more power to you though.
