ok. Yeah Paul has the first version of the exhaust for the gen 2. However, cp-e discontinued the version we are using because they had a lot of failures (Josh Adams told me via email) and that's why they went with the Triton setup (two mufflers, probably glass pack instead of the large baffled canister).

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I just took a sawzall to the exhaust and now have no muffler at all. I asked CPE if I could just buy the rear section of the Triton and they told me know. I would have to buy the whole catback at full price.

They are so stupid and their damn "lifetime" warranty. When it comes to customer service they have by far the worst service and are the biggest bunch of pricks.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
knock on wood the triton is still holding strong. However since installed the muffler doesn't sit right. Im thinking of just having it fixed at a muffler shop. After all I did get a custom block off made so it would be quieter on cold starts in the winter. It was cheap

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
I have one of the cp-e exhausts. Not sure if it's the triton, but no problems so far. When I went to heart for hearth, some guy told me it was going to fall off :p
One thing I notice is that one pipe sticks out more than the other. Maybe installation error I dunno.
Also, during cold start, purrs like godzilla.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
The CPE CBE i got from Polish Eagle is fine....the drone he was talking about when your at 5500 rpm actually doesnt bother me..actually like the sound...plus I dont go 5500 city driving..maybe only highway....
My friend who owns a speed as well wants to buy the CBE from me....and I was looking at the Triton since I wanna stay CP-E
What im running right now.
AP
Autotech
CP-E SRI
Cobb TIP
CP-E cbe
Thats it for this season...not planning to go beyond what I have now anytime soon in the future..
Just trying to look for a more aggressive exhaust....

Sounds like you have the triton.
This is why I had a block off made. It is genuinely quieter. Initially I wanted a electronic valve but the shop didn't want to sell me one because they had to many issues.

A buddy of mine ran an electronic valve in his Pontiac Grand prix (supercharged) and had no issues for the years he had it on. I'd personal get the electronic valve :)

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
2 hours and a million cuts on my hand later and I've installed the hose reducer and new 1 inch diam. Recirc. Hosing
Cut the end a little gimpy so only have about 10 mm at one point on the valve adaptor but it's not going anywhere anytime soon...I can fix that later
In hindsight, I should have put on the small hose first and then the larger on the intake last...
Who am I kidding...I'll fix it later...

- new under shield
- new shield in front passenger wheel well
- re-tightened CBE
- new front "M"
- emptied OCC
- cleaned coils and wheel wells
- re-painted calipers
- took off Rally Armors
- super half assed rear roll.......need to properly roll at some point
- summers on
- greased rsb

Think that is it.
Can have a NATOR weekend at my place sometime soon....I know Loki and Boyracer have been subtle.

-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Just don't go with the old metal JBR whale peen. @boyracer is running HTP and I don't think he's relocated his.......don't remember if he's running a 51r either....

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Running HTP with 51R battery tray. Lots of room.
