I got a good deal at Tires 23 on 2 bottles of Motul RBF600 for $55

That is a good deal. My only concern with the RBF 600, is I recall reading it should be changed in about 6 month intervals. Great fluid but breaks down quickly.

Speaking with @
Fobio about the upcoming ILR Track School and lapping day on August. Nothing is finalized as we only just got to chatting but if this works out, it is a great opportunity to get to know and push your car. Then you can figure out what mods you really need. You'll also get addicted to tracking.
August is a long way away so no excuses to get your car running right. And no not having that downpipe installed won't make a difference.

I have been running ATE Typ200 for 7K...did the tail of the dragon with it. Very happy with it so far. Pedal feel is great. $25 for 1 litre @ tires 23. Not sure how often I have to drain the fluid. Probably switch it out every season. The Castrol SRF fluid is your best bet if you dont want to flush fluid every year.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
So let me get this right, it's an open lapping day? Or a track school? Or both? Lol

Both. But you need to complete their track school to do open lapping
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
They might even allow you to lap if you can show prove you've taken another track school they approve of
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Whay! ? I've lapped half a dozen times on the DDT so they can suck it. If im in my own car there should never be an issue.
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
What is the pricing like?

That's fine but this is a day hosted by ILR so they will tell you to suck it
Track school probably in the $425 range, lapping in the $175 range

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Jesus. Ill pass. They will probably make everyone pay for the track school. Not worth it in my opinion. Ill just go to a touge day that is all day for half the price.

That's fine

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Touge has a lapping day at DDT from 11am to 5pm on August 2nd
It's $169 plus tax early bird pricing, then $189 after July 10th or $240 at the track

Track school are for ppl who want to build a solid foundation, correct bad habits and generally approach it as a sport rather than just street driving but faster.
Back on topic...I'm confirming pricing with Ian and will post up shortly for August 8th.
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
So 80 bucks cheaper for the same amount of lapping
-
Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
Ppl who just wanna bomb around the track pretending to be racing each other and passing in corners like they're at the Toronto Indy racing in front of McLaren scouts should go with Tougue...they have fast cars and fast drivers. We are doing something different and working a student up to what their car can do....not taking them beyond their abilities and trying ti "dial it back".
Tanner...educate yourself...we're not doing lapping for anyone who just shows up:

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
We all (for the most part) use proper track etiquette. We would get booted if we didn't. I would almost garantee many guys who lap with touge or Peterborough motorsports club would out drive many of the guys coming from the city and paying double to be "taught" the "proper" way to drive their cars on a track. Learning the limits of your car does not come from a teacher in a class room. It comes from experience in the car. Every car is different.

If you don't have the cash for it, or more likely don't want to spend the cash for it that's fine. But don't simply downplay it soley based on pricing.

Re: Random MS3 Chat Thread
And let's not turn this into an "us vs them" type discussion
