Driving down the DVP in the left lane and the car in front of you runs over a rubber mallet that flies towards your car and leaves a big dent on your hood.👹
I went up into a parking garage in London, and holy, I have never scraped that hard in my life, even when I was on the coils, I wasn't even thinking about it, and it was 2 am after a wedding.Quote:

I was in Ottawa a couple weeks back, in an underground parking garage. On the way up, I scraped hard, and it was the steepest ramp I've ever seen. Rolled back a good 3 feet.

An undergraduate university education in Ontario is heavily subsidized. (No bitching allowed! Especially with extensive student financial support by Ontario and the universities.)
I paid 10 years of graduate school tuition, for which I didn't get any real lectures or courses. Sure, they pay me a stipend while I slave away in a lab for all those years, only to get a good chunk taken away again in tuition.
In the end, an MSc and a PhD in biology (and a great training in critical thinking, planning, and all that), but no prospects for a job. (Over educated for entry level jobs, under-experienced for anything not entry level...)

Oh yeah international rates are what I consider absurd.
Don't know why they are so high in the first place. Staying at home while going to school I still paid about 9k a year for my degree. Hard to believe that my Russian classmate was paying double that.
I didn't pay any taxes for almost 2 years here when I started working, as a result of tuition credits, so that helped outQuote:

you know what sucks??? having fogged up windows every morning with the combination of direct sunlight hitting them and having to roll down the windows to check for traffic while it still being chilly outside...
Rolling down your windows to yell for your dog on a humid night, windshield fogs up so fast.
