Not necessarily.
If he chose the proper offset to bring the rim in more, and then put the same tires he has now on the 9" rim, it would provide him a slight less beef, more stretch, and could theoretically fit them easier.

If I'm not mistaken, the 9 wide comes only in a +45 offset. Meaning a 10mm spacer up front to clear suspension (maybe slightly less would work? Not sure). Thus I'm guessing it would still poke out just as much if not slightly more.
But alas, I have what I have, and this is what I must work with.
Yea, my theories pertained more to custom rims. The theory is there, the availability not so much.
I feel like 235 + 5mm might work up front but my knowledge running wider rubber is a little limited
Interesting. Or alternatively, get new car and not worry about clearing anything ;P
Ah I see. And yea it is.
Umm...everywhere? [emoji14]

^ that's roughly what the rears look like when they rub. It likely goes up even deeper on impact of bumps and such, but this was just a static shot to get an idea of it. Essentially the whole top arc of the fender. It sucks cause we weren't able to fully roll my rear fenders last summer cause they were so rusted and it would've risked just splitting/cracking them apart from the inside. So that little lip that's still present, is shredding the tires every time it gets up to the fender.
Had @ryan2.3 help me out last night, and unfortunately ended up having to do what I didn't wanna do, which was adding camber. The rubbing is less now however when it does hit, it's hitting closer to the sidewall (as opposed to on the tread of the tire) which is even worse. But the frequency it hits is much less. However now the car is lower in the rear, so less wheel gap/clearance. What I'm gonna have to do is put my rubber perches back in and then I'll be able to hopefully have more camber, same wheel gap/clearance as fronts, and not rub too much. Just sucks cause I'll loose all the alignment work that was done last weekend on the rears and I'll have to get it aligned again. But such is life...
Face-down-ass-up pic from yesterday's long session. Thanks again for the help @ryan2.3

Seems like you need to stop rubbing before you really chafe. #seewhatididthere.
Ah yeah the lack of flat roll would do it.
Needs moar low...
Oh wait..
your car has taught me there's no such thing as a quick fix. you need to start showing up in the morning so we still have daylight
Trying to get into this whole editing game. Decided to just mess around with this pic, and get wacky with it. Not really sure what I even ended up doing, but meh, I think it came out kinda cool-looking :P ..maybe? No? I dunno

Kind of looks like a painting/sketch/drawing of your car in a realistic/cartoon way. Different than how people usually edit their car pics but still cool.
Kind of looks like what taking acid might look like
hahaha
If only it looked like that still. I remember when it looked that bright. God damn fade. But then again with the negative attention you've been getting as of late... Maybe being brighter isn't the best thing lol.
Just a bored Sunday editing pics..
